Nataša Perić joined the Department of Health Economics in August 2015. She works as a post-doc scientist on the European H2020 project PECUNIA and ERA PerMedSchiz.
She obtained a doctoral degree at the Medical University of Vienna in the field of Public Health/Health Economics. Her doctoral thesis deals with the prioritization of indicators for structured monitoring of health system performance in the European Union. Her current research interests include evaluation of health care systems and health system performance intelligence.
Nataša holds a master's and bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration from the University of Vienna, where she specialized in Health Care and International Management. She also spent an exchange semester within the Erasmus Programme at the University of Alcalá de Henares in Spain. For her Master thesis she conducted an experimental analysis to investigate the potential of a mass casualty incident management game.
Prior to this appointment, Nataša worked as a researcher at the NPO Competence Center at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) where she has gained specific knowledge in qualitative and quantitative evaluation research in the areas of care of elderly and health promotion by applying the social return on investment methodology. Whereas her previous function as a Clinical Trial Coordinator at Boehringer Ingelheim allowed her to obtain invaluable insights and experiences about clinical development and the pharmaceutical industry providing her with complementary insights to add to the bigger picture in understanding the mechanisms of health care and health systems on a national and European level.
